 WMV 8 Week Training Course

Here are some answers to common questions.

Why are we running this course?
As we travelled around the state we felt there was a desire for solid biblical training for women with a Presbyterian (complementarian) mindset.

What will the format of the course be?
Each evening will be a one hour session, a half hour break for a cuppa, and another one hour session. We want to give you the most benefit out of the topics so we have structured it in a lecture style, rather than a discussion format. In this way we hope that you will gain a depth of insight in a way that a shorter session would not allow.

Who are your speakers?
Each of our speakers are Victorian Presbyterian women who have gifts and interest in the topics we have given them. They come with a breadth of knowledge and passion and we trust you will find them engaging. You can find out a little more about them on our website at www.wmv.org.au

Why are we live-streaming the event?
At WMV we have always been passionate about supporting women who are in rural areas, isolated, or in other ways unable to easily access the sort of teaching available in city areas.

Do I have to listen live?
No. We hope that this course will be accessible to new mums up in the night, shift workers, those who can't easily get out, bible studies, missionaries, and so on.

What happens if I can't make one night?
When you register to attend the full course you will get access to the recordings of all the sessions so that you can listen to them in your own time.

Why are you charging for the course?
WMV is fully run by volunteers on a very tight budget. We aim to keep the cost of our events down so that they are accessible to everyone. We are also committed to ensuring our speakers are honoured in a small way for the many hours of preparation they put in. Asking a reasonable fee is helps us run a ministry which we hope benefits women right across our state.

What is church access?
We'd love churches to support the women in their congregation by purchasing one-off-access to the course. That way all the women in their church can gain the benefit of this course. We have designed this to be the most cost-effective way of supporting congregations. Please talk to your minister about this option.

Can I access the course if I'm not in Victoria?
Definitely! We'd love this course to be available to women everywhere!
